Dr. Bruce Liu, 劉京京博士

Because of interest in Medical Sciences, Dr. Liu completed his Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences at Perking University in 2003, and then he earned his Master’s degree in Chinese Medicine at University of Macau (UM) in 2005. As a journalist paying attention to health system reform and food safety in China, he worked for Life Times, Caijing Magazine and Caixin Media successively in Beijing from 2006 to 2010. He came back to UM in 2010 and obtained his Ph. D. in Biomedical Sciences in 2015.

Dr. Liu likes reading, debating, martial art and drama. He won the champion of the 1st Debating Match of Universities from Asia and the Pacific in 2004, the champion of the 11th Debating Match of Chinese Countrywide Well-Known University in 2005 as well as the best debater and second place in the CCTV’s International Varsity Debate Match in 2007 as a member of Mandarin Debate Team (MDT) of UM. As a coach, he has also led MDT to victory in several international matches, example of the 5th Debating Match of Universities from Asia and the Pacific in 2011.

Resident Fellow

Ms. Ginger Chan, 陳錦翎女士

Ginger Chan is from local Macau. She earned a master degree from Chinese Academy of Governance, a bachelor degree from Sun Yat-Sen University and a secondary school teacher training diploma from Fu Jen Catholic University.

Prior to joining the University of Macau, she had 7 years working experiences in the Center of Educational Resources of Macao Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (DSEJ) where her major job responsibility was organizing diversified educational activities and training courses. Ginger had also worked as a secondary teacher and an academic tutor respectively.

Having worked in the educational field for years, Ginger is enthusiastic to share her experience to SPCers about career advice and personal development. She strongly believes that SPC is an ideal breeding ground for facilitate students’ whole-person development. She is also passionate about doing volunteer services, traveling and reading and is looking forward to learning and sharing with all SPCers.
