Shiu Pong College visited the Commemorative Gallery of the Macao Basic Law
The Shiu Pong College (SPC) strives to boost students’ understanding of and pride in Chinese culture and history, and to enhance their national awareness and belonging. On March 3, 2021, 24 members of SPC visited the Commemorative Gallery of the Macao Basic Law.
Established in 2013, the Commemorative Gallery of the Macao Basic Law has shouldered the responsibilities to promote a better understanding of the process of Macao’s return to the motherland. The historical traces of Macao’s development preserved by the Gallery present how Macao has transformed into a sizzling international city from a booming Portuguese trading port. Through learning the negotiation process between the Chinese and the Portuguese governments, the signing of the Joint Declaration on the Question of Macao, the process of drafting work and consultation relating to the Basic Law, and the handover and the establishment of Macao Special Administrative Region, the young generation became more aware of Macao history and its recent achievement, and has cultivated and nurtured patriotism among them.
紹邦書院師生參觀澳門基本法紀念館
紹邦書院致力弘揚中國歷史和文化，增強學生的國家意識和民族認同。2021年3月3日，書院組織學生前往澳門基本法紀念館參觀，共有24名師生參與。
澳門基本法紀念館自2013年設立以來，一直是社會大眾深入認識《澳門基本法》的平台，肩負推動愛國愛澳教育的重要使命。紀念館保留了澳門歷史的足跡，彌足珍貴的展品展示澳門如何從歷史上的貿易港躍變成今天的國際都會。通過了解中葡政府就澳門問題進行談判及簽署聯合聲明的過程、《澳門基本法》制定和落實的情況，以及澳門特別行政區的設立過程及成就，學生們對澳門發展史有更深入的認識，有助鞏固其國家觀念和愛國意識，成為具有家國情懷的好公民。
