SPC Finished the 1st Service Learning Trip to Jiangxi Province

From May 21st to June 1st, 2025, a group of 12 students and 1 academic staff from Shiu Pong College went to Ma Ao Town Central Primary School in Xiushui County, Jiangxi Province to conduct a service learning program. This was the first time that SPC had organized such a program in Jiangxi Province.

After careful preparation for half a year, “young teachers” from SPC brought 9 different courses, including: Macau and Portuguese Culture, English Dubbing, Sign Language Songs, Interesting Science, Tchoukball, Sports, Teamwork, Paper Cutting and Kaleidoscope, etc. Each of the 210 students in the fourth and fifth grades of the primary school could experience six of those lessons. At the Children’s Day performance on May 29th, the SPC team also sang and danced to offer sincere blessings to the children. The earnest teaching in the classroom and the friendly interaction after the class allowed the students from the two schools to quickly build up emotional bonds. They promised to meet again next year.

One SPC student wrote about his feelings in the reflection: “This was not only an experience in which we helped the children, but it was also a process in which the children healed us.” Another student was inspired by the experience to think deeply about education.

After classes, SPC team also visited the silkworm base in Ma Ao Town and the Autumn Harvest Uprising Memorial Hall in Xiushui County to deepen the understanding of the development of China.

紹邦書院首次前往江西開展義教

2025年5月21日-6月1日期間，紹邦書院師生一行13人前往江西省修水縣馬坳鎮中心小學進行義教交流活動。這也是紹邦書院第一次前往江西舉辦此類項目。

經過半年的精心籌備，紹邦書院的“小老師”們共帶去了9個各具特色的課程，包括：澳葡文化、英語配音、手語音樂、趣味科普、君子球、體育闖關、團隊合作、剪紙、萬花筒等。馬坳鎮中心小學四、五年級約有210名學生，每人都體驗了其中的6堂課。在5月29日的慶祝兒童節文藝表演上，紹邦團隊還以《大夢想家》唱跳節目為小朋友們獻上了真摯的祝福。課堂上的認真教學、課後的親切互動，讓兩校的學生們迅速建立起了情感的羈絆。大家紛紛約定明年再見。

“這段經歷不僅是我們去幫助小朋友，也是小朋友們治癒我們的過程。”一位紹邦院生在總結時寫下了自己的觸動。更有院生從這次經歷中激發了對教育問題的深入思考與探索。

在上課之餘，紹邦師生們還參觀體驗了馬坳鎮的養蠶基地和修水縣的秋收起義紀念館，加深了對國家發展的理解。
