Young People From UM And Beihang University Explore the Beauty of Macao’s Culture

12 students from Chuanyuan College and Shie College of Beihang University, led by Prof. Wang Shaoping from the School of Automation Science and Electrical Engineering, who is also the chief tutor of Chuanyuan College, visited Shiu Pong College and conducted the exchange program named “Exploring Macau’s History and Today” during November 15-18, 2024. This event was also the return visit of the trip to Beihang University by SPCers in this July.

Guided by 9 SPC student volunteers, visitors from Beihang University explored Macao culture from various aspects. They experienced the life in UM Residential College and visited the UM campus. They visited lots of cultural sights of Macao, such as Ruins of St. Paul’s, Mount Fortress, Macao Museum, Maritime Museum, A-Ma Temple, Taipa Houses, Coloane Village and so on. It was also essential to taste the diverse cuisines as well as experience the modern tourism of Macau. Students from two universities made friends quickly and learned from each other during the exchange. Prof. Yang Yibai from the Department of Economics, who is also the SPC College Affiliate introduced the achievements, challenges and opportunities of Macau’s economic development to the students, which further enhanced the academic content of the exchange program.

During the final group report, Many students from Beihang University said that the rainy weather did not diminish the charm of Macau. They were mesmerized by the unique style of the small town brought about by the fusion of Chinese and Western cultures, which was an eye-opening experience. SPC students said that they felt a different style of youth generation from new friends, which brought them more reference for their development.

澳大北航青年共探澳門文化之美

2024年11月15-18日，北京航空航天大學（下稱北航）傳源書院、士諤書院的12名學生，在傳源書院總導師、自動化科學與電氣工程學院王少萍教授的率領下，造訪紹邦書院，與紹邦院生共同進行 “古今一體探澳門”交流活動。本次活動亦是今年7月紹邦師生前往北航交流之後的回訪。

在9名紹邦書院學生志願者的引導下，北航師生從多個方面探索了澳門文化，包括：體驗澳大書院住宿生活；參觀澳大校園；遊覽大三巴牌坊、大炮台、澳門博物館、澳門海事博物館、媽閣廟、龍環葡韻、路環等澳門歷史文化景觀；品味多元美食文化；感受澳門現代旅遊業的絢爛等。兩校的學生也在交流中迅速結成好友，互相學習。紹邦書院非駐院導師、經濟學係楊毅柏副教授亦向大家介紹了澳門經濟發展取得的成就、面臨的挑戰和機遇，讓交流活動的學術含量更上一層樓。

在最終的分組匯報中，多位北航學生表示，雖然天公不作美，時有陰雨，但絲毫不減澳門的魅力，讓他們沉醉於中西文化交融帶來的小城獨特風貌，大開眼界。紹邦院生則表示，從北航的朋友身上感受到了不一樣的青年風采，為自己的人生發展帶來了更多借鑒。
