“Traces of Flowers – Botanical Topiary Plaster Painting” Workshop by SPC Dream Building Team

The Dream Building Team (DBT) is a longitudinal service-learning program of the Shiu Pong College. It is a voluntary organization formed by students with 30 members.

In April, local young artist Zhang Yijun was invited to Shiu Pong College by DBT to hold a workshop on “Traces of Flowers – Botanical Topiary Plaster Painting”. It aimed to bring a different artistic experience to the members of the Dream Building Team.

Plant topiary plaster painting is a unique way of creation. Many people like to decorate their space with plants. Plants grow and bloom elegantly, but eventually they will die. People want to keep their most beautiful appearance somehow, so the art creation of plaster topiary prints emerged.

In the workshop “Traces of Flowers”, Ms. Zhang Yijun guided the students to make plaster paintings with traces of flowers and plants through demonstration and creation. The students could not only make plaster paintings for themselves, but also for the children in ECF Inc Fellowship Orphanage Macau. Through this workshop, we hope to continue the connection between the Dream Building Team and the children and share this unique and botanical art form with the children.

This is the first time that the Dream Building Team collaborates with local artists in Macau. The main purpose of the workshop is to present the unique and eternal botanical beauty to the children in ECF Inc Fellowship Orphanage Macau, in order to maintain the connection between the students and the children under the unique circumstances of the epidemic, and to spread the love.

紹邦書院築夢小隊「花的痕跡 – 植物拓印半浮雕石膏畫」工作坊

築夢小隊是澳大紹邦書院學生自發成立的義工組織，共有三十名成員，同學們透過走進澳門社區，親身體驗服務過程，為身邊人帶來關愛、希望和快樂。

築夢小隊於4月邀請了本地青年藝術家張儀君來到紹邦書院，舉辦「花的痕跡-植物拓印半浮雕石膏畫」工作坊，為小隊成員帶來嶄新的藝術體驗。植物拓印半浮雕石膏畫是一種獨特的創作方式，很多人喜歡用植物裝飾空間，觀看植物優雅地生長與綻放的樣子，但植物也總有凋零的一天。為了留住值物最美好的樣子，便出現了石膏拓印植物版畫的藝術創作方式。

在「花的痕跡」工作坊中，張儀君老師透過示範和創作上引導，一步步讓同學體驗石膏拓印的創作過程，並製作了花卉植物痕跡的石膏畫。同學們除了製作石膏畫送給自己之外，也製作了石膏畫送給恩慈院兒童之家的小朋友。築夢小隊期望能延續與恩慈院小朋友的聯繫，也將這種保留植物美的獨特藝術方式，分享給院內的小朋友。

本次工作坊是築夢小隊首次與澳門本地藝術家進行的合作，希望以「獨特而又永恆的植物美」為主題，把藝術品贈予恩慈院兒童之家的小朋友，在特殊的疫情環境下保持書院同學和小朋友們的聯繫，把愛心傳遞給他們。同時也希望築夢小隊的同學可以在參與工作坊的活動過程中，適當地放鬆自己，感受藝術帶來的美好體驗。
