Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the University of Macau: SPC’s seminar on
“Introduction to Macao’s Economy and Development Opportunities in the Greater Bay Area”
On November 4, 2021, Professor Yibai YANG, from the Department of Economics of the Faulty of Social Sciences, was invited to deliver a seminar talk entitled “Introduction to Macao’s Economy and Development Opportunities in the Greater Bay Area”.
With a warm welcome and introduction from Professor Benzi ZHANG, Master of Shiu Pong College, Professor Yang introduced the topic by reviewing Macao’s economy in recent decades, inspired participants to think about why Macau has been experiencing such a remarkable growth process. He then talked about Macao’s positioning in the Greater Bay Area and analyzed how Macao can proactively integrate into the overall national development. As the Greater Bay Area plays a significant strategic role in the overall development of the country, Professor Yang encouraged the young generation to seize new opportunities and to participate in the development of the Greater Bay Area for a better tomorrow.
