Celebrating the 40^th Anniversary of the University of Macau:

SPC’s sharing session on Western Folk Dancing

On March 16, 2021, Professor Shing On Leung of the Faculty of Education, the author of the book of “History of Folk Dancing in Hong Kong”, was cordially invited to deliver a sharing on “Western folk dancing: a mixture of history, geography, exercise, music, social, health and happiness”. More than 50 students participated in this sharing session.

With a warm welcome and introduction from Professor Benzi Zhang, Master of Shiu Pong College, Professor Leung introduced some western folk dancing by showing videos. Spain, Mexico, Venezuela, Portugal, Brazil, Scotland, Germany, etc. These countries’ dances have features that are unique to that country. He then demonstrated some basic steps in folk dance suitable for people at any age. Besides, he provided participants a clear understanding of folk dancing and connections with other disciplines. Students have surely benefited from the sharing with is so rich in contents.

紹邦書院舉辦西方土風舞分享

2021年3月16日，澳門大學教育學院梁成安教授應邀主持“西方土風舞﹕歷史、地理、體育、音樂、社交、健康和快樂的融合”分享會，吸引逾50名師生參與。梁教授致力推動土風舞發展，著有《香港土風舞歷史》一書。

講座先由紹邦書院張本梓院長致歡迎辭，然後由梁教授通過播放西班牙、墨西哥、委內瑞拉、葡萄牙、巴西、蘇格蘭、德國等地的土風舞短片，介紹各國的文化及舞蹈特色。隨後，他展示了土風舞的基本步法。最後，他探討土風舞與不同學科領域之間的關係。本分享會內容豐富，讓同學獲益良多。
